Here are the photographs of This Diary Will Change your Life 2009, that I was to have shot this morning.

I follow Seth Godin’s blog regularly and enjoy what he writes. I have not read any of his books though. He’s mentioned something about passion in today’s post.

It’s more important that you be passionate about what you do all day than it is to be passionate about the product that is being sold.

Which, to me, means being passionate about life itself. And it’s easy to know whether you are living it passionately or not. I am passionate about what I do at aside but I am beset with doubt borrowed from external stimuli. After all, ‘design’ isn’t really something that can ‘save the world’, no matter what most overzealous designers believe. Design, however, does play a very important part in everyone’s lives – the moment we observe something that looks ‘nice’ to our eyes, we are attracted to it. And I could argue the case of design for a long time. Simply because I am passionate about it. And not all kinds of design, specifically logo design and photography and Adobe Photoshop!

Saw this nifty thing for web-designers : The Web Stencil Kit over at Design Commission. Pretty cool if you’re a web-designer and sketch your wireframes on paper. I for one seem to be moving more to paper – writing more, sketching more, doodling more. I’ve got two dozen Moleskines just waiting to be filled.

A short-term to do list off the top of my head :

1. Change / re-order post categories on this blog
2. Create a logo for nainaredhu.com
3. Create an image to use as a background across this blog
4. Design the main www.nainaredhu.com website
5. Get rid of the blog contact page and create a contact page attached to the main website
6. Edit image sizes to 500px across – on this blog

A much awaited revamp of this website and blog [ although ] not yet complete, ushers in a brand new 2009 for me already. I’ve had a crazy day – in a good way. With my personal life finally showing sings of reaching stability after the move from Mumbai to Gurgaon, work is picking up as well. The move had disrupted my ‘regular’ online presence and activities and after settling down some, I am back to being online and have expanded active presence on Facebook as well as Twitter.

The much awaited Nikon D90 will be in my hands on the 5th of January and I’m looking forward to 2009 being the year of photography for aside.in as well as for me, personally.

Madhur pointed me to this article about The Luck Factor. While we all know this ‘information’, we nonetheless need reminding.

I am also busy gearing up for the get-together being organized for my batch mates on the 14th of February, Saturday, 2009 [ The Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, Batch of 1997 ]. I’m hoping we will be able to kick up more activity on the Taps97.com blog.

A lot needs to be done on the new venture front of Protoface. It still shows only one model’s profile and portfolio. Another model has signed up but I have not had the chance to work on his photographs and put them on.

I still haven’t been paid by the guys at Leo Adventure Sports and I’m close to taking down the website. This is the first time I am writing about this publicly – and I’m not hoping for any reactions from both the guys who run that establishment : Aadil Behbahany and Aklesh Poojari.

My “This Diary Will Change Your Life 2009” starts from the 29th of December 2008 – hence I was more than thrilled to declare my New Year already started when I woke up this morning. [ I'll wake up tomorrow morning and shoot a photograph of the cover of the diary. It's 6 a.m. in Gurgaon and I need to be asleep! ]

Happy New Year 2009! [ The change in design on this blog makes me want to write more often. Here's looking forward to a bloggin 2009 - hop I can make the posts varied and hence, relevant to the readers. ]

Dreamhost is a hosting provider based in the United States. I’ve been with them since March 2005. Excellent support even for newbies.
I have registered all my .com domain names with them and host my .in domains with them as well.

The image below will show you the features Dreamhost provides [ which, by far, are the most extensive I've seen for any hosting provider. ] I recommend Dreamhost to all clients and friends for their ease of use, functionality and features and reasonable prices.
